The Highmark Caring Place honored
Lynne Chuba of Mars and other volunteers Wednesday at a reception at the Camelot banquet hall in Wexford.Chuba
received special acknowledgment for five years of service to the Highmark Caring Place. Also receiving special acknowledgment were Tony Bauer, Charlene Cave, and Stephanie Sperling, all of Pittsburgh.The 66 volunteers from the Warrendale facility collectively gave more than 2,400 hours in support of grieving children, adolescents and their families at the Caring Place.———
Kayla Godlewski of Cabot was chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Pennsylvania Pageant. The competition is Sunday and Monday at the Hilton Hotel Harrisburg.The winner will then compete in the national pageant at Disneyland in California.Godlewski's activities include baton, dance, student council, FCCLA and being featured twirler of the Knoch Majorettes.———On July 2, the winners at the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club were:First:
