Eleanor E. Dyer
Eleanor E. Dyer, 95, of Parker Personal Care Home, formerly of Ross Township, passed away Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 21, 1914, in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of George and Anna Herman Spindler.
She was the manager of the cafeteria of Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh for many years before her retirement.
When she belonged to the senior citizens group, she enjoyed meetings, luncheons and trips. She was an avid card and bingo player.
She loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Federkeil and her husband, Richard Sr., of Butler; three grandchildren, Lynne (George) Ellis, Cheri Newcomb and Richard Federkeil Jr., all of Butler; five great-grandchildren, Jamie (Josh) Green of Houston, Brian Ellis of Indianapolis, Ind., Jill (Patrick) McCurdy of Baltimore; and Christopher Newcomb and Alyssa Newcomb, both of Butler. One great-great- granddaughter, Marin McCurdy, also survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Dyer, who passed away in 1959; and four brothers.
