Doles

Stanley A. Doles, 81, formerly of West Jefferson Street in Butler, died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 14, 1927, in Verona, a son of the late Frank and Mary Knafelc Doles.

Stanley was retired from ServiStar in Butler, where he worked as a product carrier for more than 25 years.

Mr. Doles was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.

He enjoyed sports, especially bowling and golfing.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Gus (Kristen) Deal of East Butler; three sons and their wives, Stanley and Nancy Doles of Antioch, Ill., Aaron and Kathy Doles of East Butler and Brad Doles of New York, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Bernice) Eicheldinger of Verona; his longtime companion and friend, Jeannie Wickert of Butler; six grandchildren, Mrs. Dennis (Tiffany) Marcott, Chris Doles, Ron Deal and his wife, Beth Deal, Kara Deal and Randy and Jimmy Doles; and his ex-wife and friend, Alice J. Doles of New Bern, N.C. Three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him.

Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

<B>DOLES </B>—<B> </B>Friends and family of Stanley A. Doles, who died Sunday, June 7, 2009, will gather from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.
