Timothy James Leary
Timothy James Leary, 60, of New Castle died Thursday morning at Jameson Hospital North.
He was born Nov. 5, 1948, in Sharon, a son of James W. and Norma Ehrhart Leary.
He married Barbara Jamison Harper on March 22, 2008.
He was a 1966 graduate of Jamestown High School and a 1970 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where he received his Master's Degree in Counseling and Education.
He was a retired teacher from the Slippery Rock School District and the owner of Images Unlimited Photography Studio of Slippery Rock.
He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting, photography, travel and barber shop singing. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and also enjoyed coaching both basketball and baseball.
He was a member of the Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three daughters, Meghan and her husband, Shawn, Firster of Cranberry Township, Katherine Leary of Tucson, Ariz., and Colleen Leary of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Matthew Leary of Jamestown and Nathan and his wife, Becky, Leary of Greenville and one grandson, Colton Firster.
