Ronald Louis Fogel

Ronald Louis Fogel, 75, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., died May 23 at the Sacred Heart Hospital on Emerald Coast in Destin, Fla.

Ron was born Feb. 17, 1934, in Butler.

He graduated from Grove City College in 1959 and started working for the Monsanto Chemical Co., living in Michigan, Georgia and Columbia Tenn. He started several businesses, including Fogel and Associates, an engineering consulting company, and the Calcium Silicate Corp.

After living in Columbia for 39 years, he and Sue retired to the Gulf Coast of Florida.

He is survived by his wife Sue (Helen) of 52 years; four children, Bruce, Rhonda, Glenn and Carole; and seven grandchildren. He also is survived by his sister, Carol "Pooch" Eichenlaub and her husband, Ronald "Ike," Eichenlaub; his brother-in-law, Dick Trabert; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Elda Fogel, and a sister, Sally Trabert.
