Lois L. (Black) Hodil
Lois L. (Black) Hodil, 77, of Hampton Township died Thursday at her home.
She was born in Allegheny County, Feb. 20, 1932, to the late Archibald and the late Mary Margaret (Kelly) Black.
Mrs. Hodil and her late husband, John W. Hodil, for many years ran a chicken and egg farm, which later was converted to an equestrian workout and boarding stable which still operates as Hodil Farms.
Lois enjoyed square dancing with her husband and continued with the North Hill Squares after his death.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Ness of Hampton Township; a son, Robert "Bob" W. Hodil of Glenshaw; six grandchildren; a brother, Oliver Black; a sister, Agnes Smith; a brother, Archie Black; and a brother, John Black.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, her husband, John W. Hodil. They were married Dec. 31, 1951, in Jefferson Township. Also preceding her in death were six siblings.
<B>HODIL </B>— Visitation for Lois L. (Black) Hodil, who died Thursday, June 4, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>King Funeral Home</B>, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. David Clawson will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery, Allison Park.
