Raymond Jack Foust
Raymond Jack Foust, 78, of Perry Township, Parker, passed away at 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Sligo following an extended illness.
Born Feb. 15, 1931, at Dutch Hill, Clarion County, he was the son of the late Harlan Sr. and Belle R. Kriebel Foust.
He was affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy at New Athens, near Rimersburg.
Jack served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953 aboard the USS Badoeng Strait. He was a member of the VFW Post 7073 of Parker.
He worked at the Knox Glass Corp., Sterling Oil and the Quaker State Oil Co. and retired from Petrowax in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Susan "Sue" Snyder Foust, who he married July 11, 1953, in Wickenburg, Ariz.; one daughter, Debbie (Joe) Burkett of Punxsutawney; four sons, Eddie (Barb) Foust of Dutch Hill, Lonnie (Marcia) Foust of Indianapolis, Ind., Randy Foust of Claysville, Pa., and Mike Foust of Parker; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; three step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Fern McMillian, Honey Buzard and Shirley Blauser; four brothers, Byron "Abe," Harlan "Snowball" Jr., Gerald and Ronald Foust; and number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Billy Foust; a grandson, Terry Jack "TJ" Foust; and a sister, Helen Perry.
<B>FOUST</B> — Friends of Raymond Jack Foust, who died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Wayne Street, Parker. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Leonard Goughler of the Church of God of Prophecy at New Athens officiating.
