Sara Lyon of Ford City graduated from with a Master of Arts degree in writing popular fiction from Seton Hill University.Lyon completed a market-ready full-length fiction manuscript titled "Seijaku" to receive her degree.———
<B>Jennifer Byers</B> of Zelienople graduated from Westminster College with degrees in elementary education and special education.She graduated magna cum laude and was on the dean's list each year. She also was the recipient of the Young Presbyterian Scholarship and the Clara E. Cockerville Memorial Scholarship.Byers belonged to Lambda Sigma sophomore honor society, Kappa Delta Pi education honor society, and Pi Sigma Pi academic honor society and was a member of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges."She is a 2005 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. She is the daughter of William and Sallie Byers of Zelienople.———<B>Tricia North</B> of Slippery Rock graduated in May from Slippery Rock University and Penn State University.North received degrees in physics with a math minor from Slippery Rock University and environmental systems engineering with a water resources minor from Penn State University.At Penn State University, North was recipient of the Pennsylvania Science Technology Scholarship, Mercedes Shoemaker scholarship, Chevron Scholarship and Elizabeth Holmes Teas Scholarship. She graduated with high distinction and was on the dean's list.At Slippery Rock University, she was on the dean's list and was a presidential scholar and named as an outstanding pre-engineering major in physics. She also is a member of Sigma Pi Sigma national physics honor society, summa cum laude.North accepted a position as an environmental engineer with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.She is a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.She is the daughter of Jim and Pat North of Slippery Rock.———
<B>David Black</B> of Chicora graduated in May from the U.S. Military Academy.While at the academy, he studied systems management and was a two-year letterman for the Army varsity football team. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army within the field artillery branch.Black is a 2005 graduate of Karns City High School. He is the son of Don and Sue Black of Chicora.———
