Margaret J. Steighner, 78, of Butler died Wednesday evening at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Butler, Dec. 19, 1930, a daughter of the late John and Mary Morgan Lichman.

Mrs. Steighner had worked at the former Butler Bakery shop and had attended the St. Paul Catholic Church in Butler.

She was the widow of Charles R. Steighner. They married April 11, 1969, and he died March 1, 2002. She also was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
