Veronica Ferguson
Veronica Ferguson, 96, of Butler died at 6:44 p.m. Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.
She was born March 14, 1913, in Butler County, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Zukic) Wais (Wise).
Mrs. Ferguson was a waitress for many years at the Vin Mar Diner as well as a banquet waitress at the Butler Days Inn.
She was a graduate of the Butler Beauty School and was the proprietor of her own beauty shop in her Bredinville home.
She is survived by her two daughters, Veronica Goodell (Travis) and Elaine Klinger (Robert); seven grandchildren, John (Lisa) Goodell, Brian (Celia) Goodell, Ann Goodell, Matthew (Jennifer) Klinger, Nathan (Jennifer) Klinger, Joanna (Shawn) Adams and Vearle (Sherry) Klinger; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vearle, who died Dec. 29, 1962; her sister, Pauline McClellan (Arthur); and her two brothers, John and Frank Wais (Wise).
<B>FERGUSON</B> — Visitation for Veronica Ferguson, who died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with her grandson, the Rev. Nathan R. Klinger, officiating. Assisting will be the Rev. Michael Winship of Hill Presbyterian Church.
