M. Edna Dillaman, 87, of Ridgeville passed away at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday at Allegheny General Hospital following a short illness.

She was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Ridgeville. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Floyd Johnston and the late Retta Mae Hilliard Johnston.

She was a life member of Ridgeville United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Sunshine Club and the United Methodist Women at the church. She also was a member of the Cherry Valley VFW Auxiliary.

She was a homemaker and had worked at Slippery Rock University. During World War II, she worked at the Bantam factory.

She is survived by her husband, William "Bus" Dillaman, who she married Dec. 12, 1946; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Sharon Ann) Hays of Butler and Mrs. Rick (Bonnie) McCandless of Boyers; one son, Mark E. Dillaman of West Sunbury; three grandchildren, Ryan Hays and his wife, Erica, Casey McCandless, and Sierra Dillaman; one great-granddaughter, Lyric Hays; and two sisters, Mrs. Samuel (Vera) Weber of New Castle and Viola McCracken of Grove City.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice; one grandson, Bradley; three sisters; and four brothers.

<B>DILLAMAN</B> — Friends M. Edna Dillaman, who died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeville United Methodist Church with her pastor, the Rev. Wade Berkey, officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery.
