A free Family Summer Concert Series, sponsored by Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, takes place Tuesdays at Alameda Park. The shows begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Carousel Shelter. Butler County Symphony's lunchtime Concerts to Munch By take place from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Wednesdays through Aug. 19, except no concert this coming Wednesday, all at the symphony office, 259 S. Main St. The scheduled performers for July 8 are Brian Schaffner, Mike Simms and Mike Swigart. Guests may bring a bag lunch or buy one for $3 from City Subs. Call 724-283-1402.
The Summer Concert Series 2009 at Butler County Community College will feature the Pittsburgh Banjo Club at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Succop Theater. To accommodate theater seating for all who want to hear the Banjo Club, 400 free tickets were available initially and a remaining 40 tickets will be available before the show. Admission is free. Free summer concerts will take place select Thursdays on the lawn at the Harmony Inn, 230 Mercer St. The Fat Cats blues band will play tonight.
The Thursdays in the Park Concert Series at Cranberry Rotary Amphitheater in Community Park, Cranberry Township begins at 7 p.m. Playing tonight will be the blues group, Mahajibee. Admission is free. Call 724-776-4806.
The Musicians' Concert Band, a community group that performs at Slippery Rock University, will play in concert tonight as well as July 9 and 23 and Aug. 6. All these concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. in Miller Auditorium. The MCB Swing Band will join in the July 23 show. Admission to each concert is $3. Jeff Kroner is the music director.
Watermelon Wednesdays return to Slippery Rock Park with concerts Wednesdays in July. The shows take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Music and watermelon are free. Playing this coming Wednesday will be Chuck Moses. Call 724-794-8180.

Call 412-767-9200.<B>The Indiana Pops Concert Band, </B>with eight Butler County members, will perform four concerts this summer. The 50-member band will play at 7 p.m. Sunday as well as July 12 and 26 at Mack Park, 752 S. Sixth St., Indiana. The hour-long concerts are held rain or shine, but in case of rain, they move indoors to the nearby skating rink. Butler County members are Jim Cunningham, Todd and Janet Karenbauer, Jeannette Schmidt, Todd Obidowski, Mark and Steve Rodgers and David Huemme.
<B>JazzLive</B> will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays in Agnes R. Katz Plaza, diagonal from Benedum Center, 719 Liberty Ave. In case of inclement weather, JazzLive will move indoors to the Cabaret at Theater Square, 655 Penn Ave. Playing Tuesday will be Dwayne Dolphin.
