Bond

Patsy Ellen Bond, 61, of Lawsonham Road, Rimersburg, passed away Friday at 3:50 a.m. at the Clarion Hospital following an illness.

She was born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 24, 1947, and was the only child of G.E. Brinkley and Ruth Lorraine Slater Brinkley.

She was a 1965 graduate of the Union High School and received her bachelor's degree and master's degree in education from Clarion University.

She taught her first year at the West Deer School District and then retired from teaching elementary education in both Sligo and Rimersburg in the Union School District after 30 years of service.

She was a member of the Ruby Rascals, the local area Red Hats.

She taught Sunday school at the Rimersburg United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Nelson "Rick" Bond, who she married on Aug. 9, 1969, in the Sligo United Methodist Church; one daughter, Erin Sczerba (Jason) of Rimersburg; one stepgrandchild, Mary-Kathrine Sczerba of Clarion; and several nieces.

<B>BOND</B> — Friends of Patsy Ellen Bond, who died Friday, May 22, 2009, will be received at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B> in Rimersburg from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rimersburg United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted from the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Brock Beveridge, her church pastor, officiating.
