Mary Larkin Kovaleski
Mary Larkin Kovaleski, 89, of Butler died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born April 4, 1920, in Canonsburg, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Burr) Resetar.
Mrs. Kovaleski was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
She was a retiree of Butler Stamping.
She is survived by a daughter, Rose Marie (Larkin) Robison of Sarasota, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lisa Marie Costello of Palmetto, Fla., Diana Lee Turner of Bradenton, Fla., and Julie Suzanne Andersson of Orlando, Fla.; and six great-grandchildren.
She also is survived by three sisters, a brother and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Larkin, who died in 1960; her second husband, Alexander Kovaleski, who died in 1989; and a brother.
Mary's life was filled with activities that kept her breezing along. She really enjoyed going to Las Vegas with her sister, Margaret, and her friends.
Her passion for gardening kept her young. She loved to grow many varieties of roses and also loved to cook and dine in nice restaurants. Flying to Florida to visit her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was the highlight of her life.
<B>KOVALESKI</B> — Friends of Mary Larkin Kovaleski, who died Tuesday, May 19, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Church, 128 N.
