Mahan Sr.

Ronald Taylor Mahan Sr., 72, of Mahan Road, Evans City, passed away early Wednesday morning at his residence following an illness.

He was born Feb. 26, 1937 in Evans City.

He worked for 28 years at Pullman Standard until it closed. He owned and operated the L&M Firearm Shed in Evans City for 22 years.

He was a member of the Zelienople Nazarene Church.

He was a lifetime member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and softball.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mahan, whom he married Sept. 25, 1957; two sons, Ronald T. (Maryann) Mahan Jr. of Prospect and Donald T. (Faith) Mahan of Butler; three daughters, Cindy (Brian) Harter of Cranberry Township, Sandy (Glenn) Thompson of Evans City and Tammy (Alvin) Parasida of Washington, Pa.

He is also survived by 10 grandsons and two granddaughters, Michael, Ray, Keith, Megan, Ryan, Alvin, Glenn III, Benton, Kendall, Nickolas, Ethan and Maria; and one great-granddaughter, Bailey.

<B>MAHAN</B> — Visitation for Ronald T. Mahan Sr., who died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Willet, his church pastor, officiating.There will be a family graveside service for the interment at the Evans City Cemetery.Memorial contributions can be made to the Memorial Bible Chairman, The Gideons International, Beaver Valley East Camp, P.O.
