Marisa Angela Smith, 45, of Karns City passed away Monday at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born Dec. 27, 1963, in Chester, Pa., the daughter of John D'Alonzo of Norwood, Pa., and Mary (Greene) D'Alonzo of Chicora.

Marisa graduated from Claymont High School in Delaware. She had been employed at Natili's North from 1989 to 1994 and at Butler Days Inn from 1994 to 2002.

After her third child, she chose to stay at home to be with her children. She was a loving mother and dedicated wife for 21 years. Her days spent loving and caring for her family were her most rewarding.

She had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and accepted him as her Lord and Savior.

She will be sadly missed by her parents; her husband, William J. Smith, who she married Nov. 6, 1988; a daughter, Danielle M. Smith, age 21, at home; two sons, William J., age 16, and Benjamin W. Smith, age 14, both at home; a sister, Carla McGinley of Wilmington, Del.; two brothers, John D'Alonzo of Hickory, N.C., and Marco D'Alonzo of Winston Salem, N.C.; along with many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

<B>SMITH</B> — Friends of Marisa Angela Smith, who died Monday, May 18, 2009, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. Friday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. The Rev. James Switzer will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Chicora.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family of Marisa A.
