CLAYSVILLE — A southwestern Pennsylvania man faces up to 5 years in prison after pleading guilty to his eighth, ninth, 10th and 11th drunken driving offenses.

Dean Hixenbaugh Jr., 49, of Buffalo Township, Washington County, told a Washington County judge Thursday the last DUI resulted from his depression after his girlfriend left him to move in to a crack house.

Dean Hixenbaugh was charged with the four DUIs in a four-month stretch last year. Twice he was found parked or slumped over the wheel in a vehicle; once he was charged after a traffic stop, and the last time, Sept. 26, after a crash.

Before the guilty pleas, Hixenbaugh had seven prior DUI convictions and two license suspensions dating to 1987.
