Betty Bish, 83, of Butler passed away at 6:40 p.m. May 9 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

She was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Prospect, the daughter of the late Frank Cooper and the late Edith (Davis) Cooper.

She had been a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Real Estate and a former chairwoman of the Butler County Republican Party.

She was an avid bridge player.

Surviving are her daughter, Connie Bish of Atlanta, Ga.; her son, Denny Bish of Butler; a granddaughter, Katie Bish; a sister, Maxine McKee of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence "Boots" Bish, who died May 2, 1996; and a brother.

<B>BISH</B> — Memorial services for Betty Bish, who died Saturday, May 9, 2009, will be held at 10 a.m. May 29 at the Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Butler, with her pastor, the Rev. John Porter officiating.
