Kenneth William Ellenberger Sr.
Kenneth William Ellenberger Sr., 64, of 1367 W. Park Road, Slippery Rock, Worth Township, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday at his home.
Born in Warriors Mark, Huntingdon County, June 1, 1944, he was the son of Ralph Eugene Ellenberger and Mable Pauline Kelly.
He married Thelma Blanche Sipes on June 7, 1963.
He retired from the auto body department at General Motors of Wilmington, Del.
He was a graduate of Tyrone High School, Tyrone, Pa.
His hobbies were hunting, four-wheeling and old cars. He enjoyed the Steelers and Penguins and tinkering in his garage.
Mr. Ellenberger was a Protestant.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Ellenberger at home; two daughters, Lisa Seven of Grove City and Lori Southworth of Slippery Rock; a son, Kenneth William Ellenberger Jr. of Grove City; three brothers, Robert Ellenberger of Warriors Mark, Eugene Ellenberger of Warriors Mark and Allan Ellenberger of Hollywood, Calif.; a sister, Viola VanAllman of Tyrone; and four grandchildren, Khrystyne, Monica, Alora and Hunter.
His parents preceded him in death.
<B>ELLENBERGER</B> — Friends of Kenneth William Ellenberger Sr., who died Saturday, May 16, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ross Cemetery, Warriors Mark, with visitation at the cemetery one hour before the service.Memorials may be made to Special Olympics.
