Men honored for service

Richard Rechenberg and
Gary Winkelvoss were presented the Silver Beaver Award in recognition for their outstanding service to youth, at the recent Moraine Trails Council Annual Business Meeting and Volunteer Recognition Dinner.Winkelvoss is a lifelong scouter, an Eagle Scout and an active member of Troop 404, chairman of the Council Climbing and Cope committee and a member of the council Technology Committee. He also is a lifelong member of the Cranberry Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Butler County Marine Corps League-Bantam Marines. Professionally, he is the national IT director for Williams Lea. He also has an Eagle Scout son and was active in Girl Scouting with his daughter.Park was recognized for his years of service to scouting in the Order of the Arrow, serving as a scout master for Troop 523 and serving on many council committees, including chairman of the Camp Master program. He also serves as a deacon/trustee of his church and is a volunteer firefighter.Rechenberg serves as a cub master of Pack 58 and assistant scout master of Troop 58. He has chaired the Fall Family Camp program for the past four years and is the Cub Scout chairman for the Area 4 Campaganza that will be held next year at Moraine State Park in celebration of scouting's 100th anniversary. He is a teacher at Holy Sepulcher School, where he also coaches basketball and chairs the school science fair.
