Ward

Orrie Ellsworth Ward Jr., 61, Murrells Inlet, S.C., died Wednesday at the Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Mr. Ward was born in Butler County, a son of the late Mary Emma and Orrie E. Ward Sr.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Ward was a square and round dancer and enjoyed playing cards. He also loved photography, gardening and antiques. He was a loving husband and father.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Virginia Dailey Ward of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; one son, Walter David Ward and his wife, Melissa Anderson, of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Amy Nicole Ward of Raleigh, N.C.; one granddaughter, Agatha Marie Anderson of Atlanta, Ga.; and one brother, Walter Dwayne Ward of Pennsylvania.
