Howard L. Deal
Howard L. Deal, 80, of Renfrew passed away Sunday at his home.
He was born May 13, 1928, in North Washington, the son of the late Lawrence E. Deal and the late Jennie M. (Timblin) Fisher.
Howard had attended Community Alliance Church.
He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines, having served in World War II.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 694, the Syria Shriners, the Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Penn Township Ambulance Service.
He had been a welder for Pullman Standard.He was an avid hunter and enjoyed racing stock cars.Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Tracy of Butler and Kimberly Strobel of Renfrew; three grandsons, Justin and Eric Farmer of Renfrew and Noah Tracy of Butler; a sister, Margaret Cook of Florida; and a brother, Roy Deal of East Butler.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther (Snyder) Deal, who died Aug. 21, 2001; and a brother, John Deal.
<B>DEAL </B>— Friends of Howard L. Deal, who died Sunday, May 3, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Krajacic officiating. Interment will be in Mount Varnum Cemetery, Petrolia.
