CRANBERRY TWP — Township supervisors Thursday evening approved preliminary plans for a new multifamily development off Powell Road.

The proposed development would be built under the regulations of the township's traditional neighborhood development zoning.

Chatham Commons at Cranberry includes four three-story buildings of 128 residential units on 14.6 acres.

Each building will have 32 units with 16 single bedroom units and 16 two bedroom units.

The development also features a large courtyard and clubhouse with a swimming pool.

Chatham Commons at Cranberry will need final approval before construction can begin.

Because of this new development at the intersection of Bucktail Drive and Powell Road, which will be one of the main accesses to Graham Park, a traffic light will installed.

The developers will build a left turn lane into the Chatham Commons property on Powell Road.
