James L. Wilson
James L. Wilson, 76, of Butler died Tuesday afternoon at the Kittanning Care Center in Kittanning.
He was born in Norman, Okla., Jan. 10, 1933, a son of the late Raymond A. and Jo Margaret Whitehead Wilson.
He was a graduate of the University of Houston, earning a degree in education. He later taught math and Spanish at the university and wrote five books.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army.
Surviving are three daughters, Vickie Guerin and her husband, Mike, and Leah Wilson, both of Houston, and Sandy Karch and her husband, Tom, of Butler; a son, Wilson and his wife, Christie, of Houston; eight grandchildren, Kent, Brett, Lindsey, Sandra, Cody, Sierrah, Sawyer and Seth; and his former wife, Vadine Wilson.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
<B>WILSON</B> — There will not be a public visitation for James L. Wilson, who died Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Morgan Road, Bridgeville. The Rev. Tom Spiker, chaplain for the Med Home Hospice, will officiate. Interment at the National Cemetery will follow.Arrangements are submitted by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.
