Wanda Anthony
Wanda Anthony, 65, of Butler passed away Tuesday at her home after a battle with cancer.
She was born June 13, 1943, in Butler County, the daughter of the late Nelson A. McKissick and the late Stella (Setnar) McKissick.
Wanda was a life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Post 117, where she was past president. She was a member of the French & Belgium Club for 40 years. She also was active in Butler baseball and Midget football for several years. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports.
Surviving are her husband, Wayne Anthony of Butler, whom she married Aug. 2, 1962; two daughters, Mrs. Eric (Traci) Gaiser of Erie and Mrs. Fred (Regina) Schmidt Jr. of Lyndora; four sons, Wayne Jr. and Kim Anthony of Butler, Bryan and Robin Anthony of Knox, Randall Anthony of Butler and Frank Anthony of Butler; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Leo (Mary Ann) Geagan of Butler, Mrs. Tom (Dorothy) Nail of Butler, Treada Braun of Beaver and Mrs. Glenn (Linda) Pugh of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, including Nelson L. "Sonny" McKissick, who died Monday, April 27, 2009.
