Antoinetta Silvis

Antoinetta Silvis, 87, of the Terrace Apartments in Butler died Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 1, 1921, in Summerville, a daughter of the late Mike and Catensirita Santa Mittiga.

Antoinetta was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She formerly had been a domestic home worker.

She was a member of the Whitestown Road Baptist Church in Butler. She was a former and charter member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church in Butler. She also was a member of the Tanglewood Senior Center.

She formerly volunteered for the Foster Grandparent Program and the Home Visitor Program of the Lutheran Services and the Children and Youth Agency in Butler.

Surviving are her son, Robert Beezer of Mount Morris, Mich.; her grandson, Donovan Beezer of Mount Morris, Mich.; a sister, Christina Connor of Rimersburg; and a brother, Mike Mittiga of Rimersburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.

<B>SILVIS </B> Friends of Antoinetta Silvis, who died Friday, April 17, 2009, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Gould, pastor of the Whitestown Road Baptist Church, officiating.
