PORTERSVILLE — The Portersville Steam Show Spring Gas-Up will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the steam show grounds on Route 19.

Featured will be old-time farm equipment and oil field demonstrations, crafts, print and machine shops, and antique cars and trucks.

Butler Downtown will host a historic walking tour along Main Street and downtown in Butler at 1:15 p.m. Sunday.The day will begin with light refreshments followed by a 90-minute tour. HARMONY — The Harmony Museum's annual herb and harden fair, offering plant sales as well as exchanges, will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 13, at the historic barn museum annex on Mercer Road just north of the Connoquenessing Creek.Admission is free, and lunch will be available.Experts will be available to answer gardening questions.Gardeners can trade potted plants. EMLENTON — The Pumping Jack Museum is presenting Dennis Murray, who will give a first person talk as a Bucktail Civil War soldier, at 2 p.m. June 7 in the Crawford Center on Hill Street.Tickets are $3 for adults, $2 for children in kindergarten through grade 12, and free for preschoolers and younger. PITTSBURGH — FliteZone Outdoor Free-Flight Bird Show will open May 23 at the National Aviary, 700 Arch St.The new cast doubles the size of previous shows and features new species that will provide the show's signature aerial maneuvers. The shows will continue through Sept. 7.FliteZone runs twice daily Wednesdays through Sundays in the Aviary rose garden, weather permitting. WEXFORD — The annual iris show, presented by the Pittsburgh Iris & Daylily Society, will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. May 23 at Soergel Orchards Farm Market, 2573 Brandt School Road.Plant sales start at 10 a.m. The event is free.The iris show, now in its 57th year, is a juried cut flower show accredited by the American Iris Society. FRAZER TWP, Allegheny County — Visitors can see a region of space where galaxies are found in clusters, visit the craters of the moon, and view Saturn during the May star parties sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh.Wagman Observatory star parties start at 8:40 p.m. May 29 and May 30 at Nicholas E.
