Slippery Rock's Angie Shaffer was the big winner at the Mercer County Athletic Conference Meet, capturing the girls 100 hurdles (15.79), high jump (5-3) and triple jump (35-Z\x) Saturday at Hickory High School.

Elissa McCune also won the 300 hurdles (47.36) to highlight the Rockets' first-place finishes, while Grove City's Hana Casalnova won the 400 (58.92) and the Eagles' 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams (4:13.82 and 9:57.72, respectively) also came away with first place performances.

In the boys meet, Slippery Rock's Isaac Osborne won the 110 hurdles (15.64) and Sam Lotz the high jump (6-0) and joined teammates Ethan Geisler and John McAvoy in the winning 400 relay (44.86) for the Rockets.

Grove City's Jake Kildoo won the 3,200 (10:01.39, winning by nearly 30 seconds) and was joined by Tom Bollinger, Aaron Anderson and Wes Phipps in the winning 3,200 relay team (8:28.87).

Leonard Howard also won the long jump (21-10¼) for the Eagles, breaking the meet record of 21-8 set by Devon Motley of Sharon in 2005.
