Dunkle a picture of perfection in Gremlins' 15-0 softball victory

Brandi Dunkle pitched a perfect game and contributed three hits and four RBI Wednesday as the Karns City softball team shut out Venango Catholic 15-0.

Dunkle struck out eight of the 12 batters she faced in the four-inning game. She had two doubles and a single. Samantha Bly and Becky Todorich had two RBI each.

In other games:

• Abby Hindman's two-run double keyed a five-run fifth inning that carried A-C Valley to a 5-3 victory over Cranberry in KSAC play.

• Morgan Robinson struck out 14 in six innings, but Slippery Rock dropped a 7-0 decision to Franklin.
