Richard L. "Bart" Holfman, 69, of Butler passed away at 9:35 a.m. Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 5, 1939, in Summit Township, the son of the late Ralph F. Holfman and the late Alice (Jardin) Holfman.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 117 and the Moose Lodge 64.

He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels cars and playing pool.

He retired from the pipe shop at Armco Steel.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia L. (Minehart) Holfman of Butler, whom he married April 28, 1962; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Laura) Gould of Butler and Tricia Everetts of Butler; two sons, Brian Holfman of Butler and Eric Holfman of Butler; four grandchildren, Stormie, Dylan, Cheyenne and Erica; his brother; Samuel F. Holfinan of Valencia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

<B>HOLFMAN</B> — Services for Richard L. "Bart" Holfman, who died Sunday, March 22, 2009, will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. Curtis McDaniel officiating. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Duff Road, Suite 304, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
