PITTSBURGH The grandmother of a Pittsburgh man accused of killing three police officers has started a vigil at the crime scene.

Catherine Scott says she wants to get medical records, insurance records, clothes and other belongings from her home. She chained herself to a railing outside her home Friday night and stayed there for hours. She remained there late Friday after police unchained her. Dozens of angry neighbors gathered around her, accusing her of "showboating."

Police say they are keeping Scott out because the house is still an active crime scene.

Scott's 22-year-old grandson, Richard Poplawski, is accused of shooting the officers who responded to a fight between him and his mother. Officers Officer Stephen Mayhle (MAY'-lee), Paul Sciullo (SHOO'-loh) II and Eric Kelly were killed Saturday and buried Thursday.
