CareerLink slates Here to Help day
BUTLER TWP CareerLink is here to help.
Per Gov. Ed Rendell's edict that each CareerLink office in the state hold a "Here to Help" day, the Butler County CareerLink will hold its event in conjunction with its annual Job and Career Fair, from noon to 5 p.m. April 22 at the Days Inn along Route 8.
Peggy Weckerly, Butler County CareerLink's administrator, explained the agency, which helps unemployed people prepare for and find jobs, will also offer a chance for county residents who have recently lost their jobs or who are underemployed to connect with various organizations that can offer help.
The Here to Help event is being held from noon to 3 p.m. in a room adjacent to the job fair.
Weckerly said the following agencies will attend the event, with more signing up each day:
