Hershel L. Blose
Hershel L. Blose, 82, of Orchard Manor, Grove City, formerly of Harrisville, died Saturday.
Born Jan. 22, 1927, in Benezette, Pa., he was the son of Ezra David Blose and Christina Hawkins Blose.
Mr. Blose received his education in Nectarine, in the Walter Public School.
Mr. Blose married Margaret Heslop July 11, 1947. They were married for 62 years. She survives.
Mr. Blose retired from Cooper Bessemer, Grove City, where he was an machinist. He was also employed for General Electric in the security department. He drove school bus for Campbell Bus Co.
Mr. Blose was Protestant.
Mr. Blose was in World War II, in Headquarters Company First Division, United States Army. He received the medal of occupation.
Mr. Blose enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially turkey hunting. Anyone who met Hershel would remember him for always bringing a smile to there face with his antics.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Timothy A. Blose and his wife, Lee Ann, of Mercer; two sisters, Virginia Myers of West Virginia, and Atletha Hacker and her husband, Wayne, of West Virginia; and two brothers, Gerald Blose of West Virginia and Howard Blose and his wife, Jean, of West Virginia; and three grandchildren, Mark, Cody and Emily, all of Mercer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Doris Bennett, Pauline Queen and Lena Riffle; and two grandchildren, Dustin and Justin Blose.
