Ruben Enaje, 48, grimaces as the nail is pulled out from his hands during the Good Friday religious rites in Cutud, north of Manila, Philippines. Enaje was nailed to the cross for the 23rd year. He says it is his way of thanking God for his survival after falling from a building.
