MCKEES ROCKS Police say they are questioning a man in the shooting deaths of a woman and her teenage daughter. Officials say the bodies of 42-year-old Sherry Crawley and her 15-year-old daughter Tia were found inside their home in Stowe Township.

The woman's 13-year-old daughter discovered the bodies when she returned home from an after-school function Tuesday afternoon. Allegheny County police say they are questioning the woman's boyfriend.

PITTSBURGH A former guard at the Carnegie Museum of Art who slashed a $1.2 million painting has been sentenced to house arrest and ordered to pay $245,000.Twenty-eight-year-old Timur Serebrykov must wear an electronic monitoring device for 11 to 23 months and may only leave home for appointments with his lawyer, doctor and to attend religious events.The museum paid $5,000 to repair the painting. But the museum says it's now worth $240,000 less because of the damage. Serebrykov slashed "Night Sky 2" by Latvian artist Vija Celmins because he didn't like it.

ALTOONA A man accused of killing two people during a sandwich shop robbery and attempted getaway also awaits a hearing on DUI and other charges from an arrest in March, police said.Nicholas Horner, 28, was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of criminal homicide in the shootings on Monday. He is also charged with robbery and terroristic threats. District Judge Jeffrey Auker ordered Horner held in the Blair County jail without bail. Auker said he did not have an attorney at his arraignment.
