Jennifer and Daniel Rodgers

Jennifer Porter and Daniel Rodgers were united in marriage Dec. 27 at First United Methodist Church in Kittanning. The Revs. Mark Porter and Allyn Ricketts officiated. A reception followed at the Lenape Heights Grand Ballroom.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Mark and Christine Porter of Worthington. Parents of the bridegroom are Vaughn and Connie Rodgers of Butler.

The honor attendant was Julie Sill of San Antonio. Bridesmaids included Sarah D'Angelo of Harrisburg, Laura Ohlin of Boston and Missy Lipchick of Murrysville. Flower girl was Kiley Sill of San Antonio.

Performing the duties of best man was Mark Rodgers of Butler. Ushers included Steve Rodgers of Butler, Jeff Porter of Urbana, Ohio, and Daniel Peters of Hollidaysburg. Ring bearer was Brett Sill of San Antonio.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Kittanning High School and a 2004 graduate of Messiah College. She received a master's degree in education in 2007 from West Virginia University and is currently studying for her doctorate in education at Indiana (Pa.) University. She works for the Hollidaysburg School District.

The bridegroom graduated in 2000 from Butler High School and in 2004 from Slippery Rock University. He was elected to membership in PGA of America in 2008 and works for the Sewickley Heights Golf Club in Sewickley.

Following a honeymoon trip to Oahu and Maui, Hawaii, the Rodgers are making their home in Indiana.
