'Little Shop of Horrors'

GROVE CITY Grove City High School will present the musical "Little Shop of Horrors" by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman at 7 p.m. April 16 through 18 at the school, 511 Highland Ave.

Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. For more information on tickets, call 724-458-5456.

The story centers around Seymour, a mistreated employee in a Skid Row flower shop who discovers a plant that feeds on human blood.

He affectionately names the plant Audrey II after his fellow employee and secret love.

Seymour must decide between keeping his fame and newly gained love by choosing to nurture or destroy the plant.

The show is being directed by Patrick McElroy, with David Barron as music director and Terry Hart as education manager. Student directors and staff include Kellie Faulconbridge, Chris Murone, Kim Perry and Phelan Robb.

Members of the cast include Garrett Carson as Seymour, Ariana Gubba as Audrey, Nick Bachman as Orin Scrivello, Jon David as Mr. Mushnik and Matt O'Polka as the voice of Audrey.
