Timothy J. Spinder
Timothy J. Spinder, 65, of Lyndora died Tuesday afternoon at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He had lived throughout the United States before returning to Lyndora, where he was raised.
Born Jan. 3, 1944, in Casper, Wyo., he was a son of Julie (Onufrak) Spinder and the late John Spinder.
He was a graduate of Butler High School and Youngstown State College, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. He had worked as a manager for three television stations in Montana.
He enjoyed fishing, classic cars, the outdoors and his dog.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he had served in the Army as a first lieutenant.
Surviving are two sons, David A. (Bonnie) Spinder of Wooster, Ohio, and Matthew T. (Jennifer) Spinder of Lodi, Ohio; a daughter, Tammie J. (Josh) Butler of Charleston, S.C.; his mother, Julie Spinder of Lyndora; two brothers, Robert A. Spinder of Austin, Texas, and Daniel E. (Barb) of Poolesville, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Spinder.
<B>Spinder </B>— Friends of Timothy J. Spinder, who died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. Abbot Leo Schlosser, pastor, will officiate.
