McDeavitt

Dennis McDeavitt, 58, of Butler, died at 2:05 a.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 11, 1950, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Daniel W. McDeavitt and Eulala Kirkpatrick McDeavitt.

Dennis loved motorcycles, hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of the Army having served in the Vietnam War.

Surviving are a son, Richard L. McDeavitt of Butler; a daughter, Crystal Smith of Mercer; his fiance, Mary D. Dietrich; his mother, Eulala McDeavitt of Cranberry Township; five stepchildren, Matthew (Rita) Dietrich of Butler, Kitzie (Paul) Lavery of Saxonburg, Brandi (Chad) Spencer of Saxonburg, Darlene Dietrich of Butler, and Chester Dietrich of Butler; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Jason McDeavitt; and a granddaughter.
