One year ago today,

God took you home to stay.

Alzheimer's had slowly taken your mind away,

It became more difficult finding words to say.

I missed the Grandma that once knew me,

but grew to love the lady you came to be.

Your beautiful eyes and smiling face,

No one here can ever take your place.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you.
