Matt Slemecka won his No. 1 singles match to start the Butler boys tennis team on the way to a 5-0 sweep of Seneca Valley Monday afternoon.

Will Nesbitt didn't lose a point on his way to a No. 3 singles win and the doubles tandem of Stefan Kemp and Matt Fend won a tight match against Michael Hess and Robert Klasmier of Seneca Valley.

Amanda Huey scored two goals and Liz Manuel scored her 10th goal of the season for Butler, but the Golden Tornado fell to Fox Chapel 14-7.Rachel Wilson, Brittany Miller, Brynn Maxwell and Cassie Houk also scored for Butler (2-2).

Fox Chapel outscored Butler 5-2 in the second half and defeated the Golden Tornado, 9-6 Monday night.Butler (1-3, 1-0) was led by Jarrod Oesterling's three goals while Cole Harvey, Cody Conklin and Nathan Barthlow all scored once.Butler's JVs won 4-0.
