Paul E. Jamison

Paul E. Jamison, 82, formerly of Grove City, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Living Center, Grove City, where he made his home for the past two years.

Born Nov. 23, 1926, in Eau Claire, he was the son of Plummer Jamison and Olive (Hooven) Jamison.

He worked at U.S. Steel in Boyers and retired in 1979 after more than 25 years. In his younger years, he worked on boats in the Great Lakes.

He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.

He was a very active blood donor, an exemplary grandfather; and he lived a true Christian life.

Surviving are a daughter, Jamie L. Best and her husband, Tony, of Sharon; a son, Rex A. Jamison of Lorain, Ohio; three grandchildren, Nicki S. Waida, Rawn L. Kerr and Selena King; four great-grandchildren, Blake King, Stephen Waida, Cassandra Waida and Alexis Kerr; a sister, Albert Hillard of Butler; and two brothers, Plummer Jamison Jr. of Columbia, S.C., and Burton Jamison of Glen Burnie, Md.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and four brothers.

<B>JAMISON</B> — Friends of Paul E. Jamison, who died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Scott D. Benka of the Solid Rock Assembly of God of Grove City officiating. Burial will be in the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
