Herbert 'Herb' L. Fox
Herbert "Herb" L. Fox, 54, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital after an illness.
He was born Feb. 9, 1955, in Butler, the son of the late Ernest Fox and the late Katherine (Knepp) Fox.
Herb was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the C.B. Rangers.
He was a supervisor for Air Ride.
Herb enjoyed camping, watching NASCAR and stock car racing and the Green Bay Packers.
Surviving are his fiancée, Dawn Double of Butler; two sons, Thomas "Tommy" Fox of Boston, and Herbie of Butler; two daughters, Shannon Larimore of Butler and Missy of Butler; a number of grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Flanigan of Kittanning, Mrs. Lewis (Viola "Sue") Biffaretti of Butler and Mrs. Russell (Sandra) Kurigur of Butler; two brothers, Russell "Butch" and Judy Fox of Valencia and Ernest "Red" and Peggy Fox of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; great-nephew, Mikey Biffaretti; and a great-niece, Shanny Koffman.
<B>FOX</B> — Friends of Herbert "Herb" L. Fox, who died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. with lay minister Carol Fleeger officiating.
