Twila E. Mowery Perry, 96, formerly of Mars, Valencia, and Tampa, Fla., passed away Tuesday morning at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony.

Born Aug. 16, 1912, in Middlesex Township, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Graham Mowery.

Mrs. Perry had worked for seven years at the Mars Home for Youth in the 1930s and then worked for 14 years as a postal clerk for the Valencia Post Office.

After moving to Tampa, she worked for five years as a pastoral aide and was an elder at the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church in Tampa.

She was a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church, where she was a session member and elder. She also belonged to the Mars AARP.

Surviving are three nieces, Norma Kirkpatrick of Tampa, Dorothy Cain and her husband, Paul, of Clearwater, Fla., and Margaret "Maggie" Trimble and her husband, Lloyd, of Monroe, N.C. Also surviving are several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Perry, whom she married July 2, 1938, and who passed away Feb. 19, 1993; and by a niece, Alyce Marchok.
