Vivian E. French
Vivian E. Kline French, 88, formerly of Linsdale Drive, Butler, died Saturday afternoon at Chicora Medical Center.
Born March 11, 1920, in Butler, she was the daughter of Robert M. and Arvilla Jane Shafer Hockenberry.
Vivian had been a homemaker and was a graduate of The Butler Business School. She was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry A. Kline, who died in 1984; and also by her second husband, Gordon S. French, who died in 1995. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Robert A. Kline, who died in 1962, and Richard E. Kline in 2005; and a sister, Helen Geibel.
She is survived by four sons, Larry R. Kline, and his wife, Marie, of Butler; William L. Kline, and his wife, Lucy, of Mesa, Ariz., Thomas L. Kline of Butler, and Randy A. Kline, and his wife, Denise, of Butler; and a sister, Roberta Sacco of Butler; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
<B>French</B> — Friends of Vivian E. French, who died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E.
