Stephanie Kobil, DMD
I have been a pediatric dentist in Butler for 20 years. Every year I have donated dental care to families with financial issues and to individuals with special needs.
I am active in promoting prevention of injury by making every patient of mine, who is involved in sports, their first mouthguard at no cost. My office also donates to sporting events, theaters and the arts, school functions, and charitable organizations.
For many years my office has had an employee who goes into schools and daycares to teach dental hygiene. The program consists of watching a short video, a fun lesson, playing games, meeting the office mascot, Flossy, and getting items to take home. This program has always been free.
The entire staff is planning the Davanna’s Day benefit, a spaghetti dinner to benefit Davanna Feyrer, a 10-year-old girl, who was seriously injured in a car accident recently. She is in the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute. We are hoping to serve more than 500 people.
Dr. Kobil is a board member of Community Care Connections, board member of Sing Hosanna! and involved in local theater; Karl Kobil is a volunteer firefighter and first responder with the South Butler Volunteer Fire Department, and is involved with the Butler girls lacrosse team and local theater.
Kelsey Kobil is a candystriper and is involved with the theater and with Butler Honor Society community service projects.
Shaney Graham is organizing the Davanna’s Day benefit; Dale Riemer began the community meal at North Street Christian Church and took a 2007 mission trip to Thailand; Barb Ferrer volunteers with the Lighthouse, and Jenny Cline organized the walk for the American Cancer Society.
