English Insurance and Financial Services on Washington Street in Butler has a long history of service to the community. Owner Teresa English has been very active in various community service organizations.

She takes pride in helping groups and organizations that strive to improve the lives of women and children.

English’s focus throughout the years has been volunteering for the Butler Elks, Junior Achievement, VOICe, the Maridon Museum and Soroptimist International of Butler County. This involvement has enabled her to help many other organizations.

English’s teaching background has proven to be valuable in her volunteer efforts with Junior Achievement and as a docent for the Maridon Museum. As co-chair for the Angel Committee for Soroptimist International, English has helped to sponsored entertainment programs and hosted a housewarming shower for the new personal care home in Parker. She has also assisted with the annual VOICe Mardi Gras fundraiser.

In addition to her time, her company has been generous with matching monetary gifts to many charities. English Insurance and Financial Service make it a priority to be involved with the betterment of Butler and the world around them.
