Tweed, King

Amanda and Horace King III

Amanda Tweed and Horace King III were united in marriage Jan. 24 at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church. The Rev. Martin Greer officiated. A reception followed at the Hampton Inn in Kinston, N.C.

The bride is the daughter of Roger Tweed and Terry Steighner, both of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Horace and Helen King of Pink Hill, N.C.

The honor attendant was Erica Walker of Butler. Bridesmaids included Amber King of Pink Hill, Jenell West of Pink Hill, Kaitlyn King of Kinston and Samantha Chatham of New Bern, N.C. Flower girl was Diana West of Pink Hill.

Performing the duties of best man was Horace King Jr. of Pink Hill. Ushers included David Houston of Kinston, Ryan Whalley of Trenton, N.C.; Patrick Heath of Pink Hill and Lewis West of Pink Hill. Ring bearer was Connor Waller of Kinston.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Beaufort High School. She works for Griffin and Griffin Attorneys at Law in Kinston.

The bridegroom graduated in 1991 from South Lenoir High School. He works for Cooper Interconnect in LaGrange, N.C.

Following a honeymoon trip to Hot Springs, N.C., the couple are making their home in Kinston.
