Marjorie J. Fresh

Marjorie J. Fresh, 79, formerly of Bradys Bend and Karns City, died Saturday at Sugarcreek Rest in Sugarcreek Township.

Born Nov. 26, 1929, in Bradys Bend, she was the daughter of Harry E. and Minnie M. (Bowser) Crawford.

She enjoyed bingo, lottery tickets, bus tours and playing cards.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda K. Wolfe and her husband, James, of Sugarcreek Township, Ella M. Plunkard and her husband, Clarence, of Karns City, and Patty L. Olcus of East Brady; a son, Harry E. Bortmes and his wife, Joyce, of Connoquenessing Township; two brothers, Raymond Crawford of Sugarcreek Township and Harry L. "Roy" Crawford of East Brady; a sister, Charlotte Adelyne Beabout of East Brady; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Bortmes, who died Aug. 5, 1953; her second husband, Samuel Fresh Jr., who died April 8, 1993; a daughter; four brothers; a sister; and three grandchildren.

<B>FRESH</B>— As requested by Marjorie J. Fresh, who died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, there will be no visitation.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady, with the Rev. Paul DeBacco of Criswell Bible Baptist Church.
