William J. Mahoney
William Joseph Mahoney, 71, of Mars died Monday morning at his residence.
Born in Butler, March 20, 1937, he was the son of the late Joseph William and Helen M. Gibson Mahoney.
He was a retired truck driver for Vogel Disposal in Mars, where he had worked for 18 years. He also had owned Mahoney Auto Salvage in Mars for more than 30 years.
He had served in the U.S. Army during peacetime.
He enjoyed flea marketing and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Matilda Caldwell Mahoney, who he married March 7, 1970; a daughter, Marie Ow and her husband, Joseph, of Mars; and his grandchildren, Joann, Joey and Julia Ow.
